The Universe of Oz

Shirt, Purse: c/o Windsor Store; Maxi Skirt: Rebecca Beeson; Shoes: BCBG; Necklace: Juicy Couture c/o UrbanMinx
I need to be careful of what I say.  Whenever I profess out loud how wonderful something is going in an aspect of my life, it is as if the Universe is listening.  Seriously, it is such an eavesdropper.  So there I am, just walking along, maybe doing a heel click jump and throwing my hands in the air, when all of a sudden, the Universe throws a curve ball my way.  And when I dance around to dodge it, guess what.  There's a fork in my road.  Oh great.  Not only is the Universe an eavesdropper, but it is a total rain-on-your-parader.  I mean, why can't life be all rainbows and butterflies?  Why can't it be a perfect yellow brick road filled with nothing but magic?  But when I reflect on it, I know that we are put here to gain more brain, more heart and more courage, because in a way, we kind of are the tinman, lion and scarecrow all wrapped up into one.  So, whatever curve balls are thrown my way, I hope I'm carrying the proper equipment and sparkly shoes that always guide me home.  And I'll try not to forget that the Universe is always listening.

I hate curve balls! But most of the time when I look back at them, I am thankful for them. Funny how that works out, hmmm... ps. & I love your lacey top! :)

I love how life always throws a change up when you least expect it. Sorry for my baseball analogy. It didn't quite go so well with yours, ;) but that's exactly what happens…

Hope this curve ball didn't strike you out :)

That was really inspiring, I am going to remember that - "gain more brain, more heart and more courage." What a nice perspective. And ps. you are gorgeous!

Don't you just love those curve balls? When everything seems like it's going a little too well I always wonder when they will come my way. I always (eventually) see those curve balls as blessings in disguise - things always end up the way they are meant to. I hope it all goes back on track for you soon!

I can totally relate...sometimes, there are days when I wake up in the morning and speak to myself to be calm, relaxed, and to control my temper so that I may have a better day. The day progresses and everything seems to test you and plainly goes wrong just to see if I'll still maintain my composure, to that, unfortunately, I always seem to fail...sometimes life throws us challenges that bugger us off...but at the end of the day we must always remember that these little challenges make us who we are, hopefully an even better "us"

I've experienced a few big curveballs recently myself. I think sometimes they are a test to see if you want something badly enough. You look gorgeous by the way!

I simply ADORE this outfit, so much, in fact, that I ordered the lace top you're wearing from Windsor. ;)

I wish I could find the skirt online though (or at least something like it!).

Love your blog (as always). <3
