I need to be careful of what I say. Whenever I profess out loud how wonderful something is going in an aspect of my life, it is as if the Universe is listening. Seriously, it is such an eavesdropper. So there I am, just walking along, maybe doing a heel click jump and throwing my hands in the air, when all of a sudden, the Universe throws a curve ball my way. And when I dance around to dodge it, guess what. There's a fork in my road. Oh great. Not only is the Universe an eavesdropper, but it is a total rain-on-your-parader. I mean, why can't life be all rainbows and butterflies? Why can't it be a perfect yellow brick road filled with nothing but magic? But when I reflect on it, I know that we are put here to gain more brain, more heart and more courage, because in a way, we kind of are the tinman, lion and scarecrow all wrapped up into one. So, whatever curve balls are thrown my way, I hope I'm carrying the proper equipment and sparkly shoes that always guide me home. And I'll try not to forget that the Universe is always listening.
