Virtue

Shirt: H&M; Skirt: Forever21; Belt: NordstromsBP; Purse: Gucci; Shoes: Old Navy; Necklace: Francesca's Collections
You know when you really want something?  And you can't have it?  And you have to wait?
{Oh I hate that.}
You have to wait for the right time, or for the right things to fall into place.  Maybe you hold out for an answer.  Maybe it's approval.  But no matter what it is, there is that period of anticipation where you are forced to sit tight and hold your breath. I for one, have never been good at either.
Now, more than ever, in this day and age, I think it can't hold more true, that patience truly is a virtue.  Thanks to the internet and smart phones, gratification is made immediate.  But there are still some things in life that no iPhone app can do and Google cannot answer.
So, as I sit and wait for life to deal me the right hand, I'll work on perfecting my game and make time my friend, in hopes to be better prepared.  Because as they say,  the best things in life are worth the wait.  But at the same time, maybe the best things in life shouldn't have to wait.  You decide.

Hey there! I recently found your blog and I love! I love your outfits! You have such great style!! :)

Patience definitely is a virtue! It's something I have difficulty with more than I'd like to admit. For instance, yesterday I saw a pair of boots that I LOVED! But, my bf convinced me not to get them right away and to think it over. I totally didn't want to listen but knew it was the right thing. I'm still considering them, but I'm trying to be patient!

Hope it's worth the wait... whatever it is you're waiting for. You look gorgeous in this outfit! All the best!

Oh what a great post! I am dealing with being patient right now and well, I'm just sick of being patient! I feel like I have been patient enough in certain aspects of my life. I agree 110% that the best things in life are worth the wait, but until you get what you want, how do you know if it's worth the wait?

On another note, I absolutely LOVE your hair! Do you have a tutorial on how to get loose curls? I would love to learn. Happy Monday!

xoxo

Great post! I can totally relate. I HATE waiting and I am the most impatient person ever. I also blame the internet and smart phones and DVR and all of those things.

However, I love your outfit and I am glad I did not have to wait to see it! Tiffany from A Reason to be Fabulous just did a similar one this morning and you both nailed it. Now I need to get a yellow skirt. Darn waiting . . .

Love the post. You're so right, I'm terrible at waiting for things to just happen. Especially when I'm holding my breath for it to go a certain way.

But you look beautiful :)

I mean, you are gorgeous and all, but seriously one of my favorite posts. Ever. Perfectly and truthfully stated. And I hope that whatever it is you are longing for, falls into place, easily and smoothly. Now, where can I get me some of that patience?! xox!

I just got that skirt yesterday!! I love how you styled it though - great necklace!! And yes, at the moment I feel like I'm in the exact same boat - waiting for life to deal me the right hand - thought I had it and then a year ago it all went down the drain! Love this post!!!! :)

I totally have that skirt! Saw it at forever and fell in love! I like how paired it with denim! I was boring and paired it with black but it looked super cute for teaching. I teach first grade and it's my lifelong goal to NEVER dress like a teacher! :) In other words..to remain a fashionista!

I've been looking for a denim button up in the right shade! The only one I found was $98 at JCrew. So glad you found this one! Love it!

this is so true. I'm like the least patient person when it comes to stuff happening in my life, and I've really had it hit home the last few months, and this was a great reminder because I was starting to get ancy again. so thanks!
and I seriously love all your outfits and hairstyles.
have a wonderful day :)

Patience and I have a love-hate relationship. And sometimes the best things in life really don't need to be waited for, you just have to make them happen!

And I adore this outfit. You always look so cute!

Gosh, I am so impatient! I wish I were like you and could wait for the really good things in life. Well actually, certain things, (cough, love life, cough) I've been waiting forever for!
But you're right though. The best things in life are worth the wait.
I just hate the waiting part!
