6 Things on March 6th

Top: Ruche; Jeans: JBrand "Kiki High Rise Flare"; Shoes: Steve Madden; Purse and Necklace: Francesca's Collections
1. Husband and I spent the better part of Sunday night and part of Monday night, DIY'ing an upholstered head board for our king size bed.  (See pic in my instagram photos). I'm pretty impressed with his handyman skills and precision to detail. It's the first major DIY we've tackled, and I'm in love with the results. And I've decided, making your own furniture is cool.

2. I had so much fun during my zoo adventure, that I want to start a little tour of all the museums/places with things to do, in the area. Next up on my list is to spend an afternoon at the Phoenix Art Museum.

3. I really want to draw a self-portrait. Maybe I'll get wild and throw in some paint. I also want to create a portrait of Husband. And maybe our dogs. If they turn out decent, frame and display in our home.

4. I haven't talked about this on the blog yet, because I don't want to jinx us, but we are in the process of purchasing our first home! It's been an extremely long process, and we keep waiting and waiting. Hopefully, we'll hear some good news soon, because we really, really love the house. Fingers and toes - Crossed.

5. Tomorrow I get to shoot a cute couple's engagement photos, which I'm super excited about.

6. I'm so glad I finished all my girl scout tag-a-long cookies. Those things were totally getting in the way of me trying to eat healthy.

Okay, so I love what's up with you lately becuase it sounds like what's up with ME!
1.Buying a house...nervous, stressed, excited, not ready to give details on blog, closing in a few weeks.
2.Recently was asked to shoot a family.
3.Eating lots of GS cookies. Thin mints, to be exact.
4.have lots of empty frames from IKEA and thinking of what to put in them and where I'm going to hang them in the new house!

Have a great week!

Really cute blouse!

My husband and I were lusting after this upholstered Restoration Hardware headboard last year. The price was outrageous of course. So we DIY'd one ourselves! It was a king size, so definitely awkward to work with, but I love it. If I get tired of the fabric someday it's easy to change since the frame is already built. I am pretty sure I nailed my poor little finger a bunch when I was hammering in the nailhead trim. Ouch!

I'm with you about the Girl Scout cookies. What with the stress of writing a paper that was due this week, I practically inhaled a box of Samoas. Well, at least now they are gone I can go back to healthier foods. :)

Allie said...

I am in agreement with #6! I just finished a box of Samoas that have been taunting me at work everyday! Also, in regards to #2, your pictures were great and I miss the Phoenix Zoo!

Absolutely in love with this WHOLE outfit... specially the blouse.

So funny about the cookies, I do the exact same thing if there is something junky in my house, I'll think to myself, I'll just eat these and that way they will be gone and there won't be any cookies left for me to it so that will be a good thing.
Crazy logic.
Fingers are crossed for your new home! :)
