Tomato Tomatoh - Shopping With Husband

Skirt: c/o Modcloth; Shirt: JCrew Factory; Vest: Rachel Roy for Macys; Shoes: Urban Outfitters (Similar Style); Purse: Francesca's; Bracelets and Rings: JCrew and Banana Republic; Nail Color: Essie Lapis of Luxury and Sally HansenSalon Effects in Love Letter
My Husband - Ryan- has been raving about Sports Chalet since Christmas when he bought us tennis rackets that sadly, we never use.  Fast forward to this past weekend, when he had a desire to go shopping at Sports Chalet again.  Enthusiastically, he asked if I would tag along.  I responded with an ambivalent answer of something that resembled "No."  But in the end, he won, and a brief car ride later, I found myself in the middle of a sporting good store.
Immediately when we arrived, our hands unlocked and I made a bee line straight to the women's clothing section.  Finding myself in a position of restraint, I soon found Husband's hand again.  And in the midst of our his shopping trip, I came to learn a few things:
One - Sports Chalet is really just a more fancy name for Sports Authority.  They look exactly alike, they carry the exact same stuff.  So when Husband asks, "Isn't this store waaay better than Sports Authority?" I simply nod my head in agreement, because, it makes him smile.
Two - Husband reminds me of a kid in a candy store when he screams, "What!?  They have a batting cage in here!"  Or my personal fave, "Katie, look!  A spear gun!"  I shared about as much excitement as he would if I showed him a pair of platform Loubitans at Barneys.
And Three - While shopping, I pondered, was he trying really hard to sell this place to me, or was Ryan just genuinely excited to be at the Sports Chalet, with all things manly?  I think he answered my question when he effortlessly stated in the middle of the slingshot aisle, "I could easily drop a grand here if I wanted to."  In which I sighed, "Story of my life".  I guess we're not so different, him and I.  Tomato, tomatoh.  Sports Authority, Sports Chalet.  Let's call the whole thing off.  But not.  Ever.  You see, I'm keeping that one.

Hahaha, so cute. My shopping's rubbed off on my boyfriend in the worst way. He obsesses over super nice socks because they're Prada and he knows he's supposed to like that... Not really getting the point.

This outfit is adorable, though. I love those prints together.

Caitlin

Haha - my husband is like this when we go to Bass Pro (not sure if you have those stores there) - it's like everything outdoorsy...fishing, hunting, etc. Oh another note, I love this outfit! The mix of prints is so cute and I'm loving that vest too. 3 more days until FABB - eek!!

It's good when they have their thing that they spend money on {sports, fishing trips, golf, etc}...so when we want to spend money on our thing {clothes, etc}, the whole pot-calling-the-kettle-black kind of works in everyones favor...you know;)

I love your adorable shoes and skirt!
Husbands are so silly...every time we're at the mall and we walk near Nike or Footlocker, my hubs makes sad puppy-dog eyes at me and says nothing. I smile and nod, and his eyes light up, and into the sports store we go :)

Ahhhh the good ole' sporting good store trip w/ hooseband. The whole way through your post I was hoping you would end up telling us how you now realize you've been wrong all these years bc these stores are full of rare finds that would last a lifetime...but nope, they are still the same.
