Lucky FABB West Event

Lucky FABB Conference held at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica, CA
Lucky Magazine Editor, Brandon Holley
Fashion Designer Zac Posen.  "Repetition is reputation."
Jessica Alba discussing her company Honest, with business partner Christopher Gavigan (I almost worked up enough courage to ask her for a picture.)
Paige Adams Geller, Creator and Designer of Paige Jeans.  Florals, prints and colors big spring to summer trends.
Ashley Madekwe of Revenge and creator of Ring My Bell; Will Gluck - Film Director, Screenwriter, Producer (Easy A).  Ashley and Will addressed haters.  Will made a good point not to be a hater because you never know when it can come back around to bite you in your (butt).
Jeannie Mai - Television Host of Fashion Star and Katherine Power of  Who, What Wear
Jeff Rudes, CEO and Founder of JBrand Jeans.  My favorite quote from him was, "No matter how big you get, stay small."
Elizabeth Banks, Actress.
Randi Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg's sister) and founder of RtoZ Media.  She stated to think social media as much as you can because it trumps experience.  And also, to always be kind to people because you never know who your future social contacts will be.
Cocktail Hour.
A Fine Frenzy Performance
I know, I know.  You are all probably sick of seeing or hearing about the Lucky FABB event, and the million hash tags that go along with it.  But.  I have to share my experience, because it was an amazing day.  Lucky FABB is Lucky Magazine's Fashion and Beauty Blog Conference.  It's a day of learning from so many successful and inspiring entrepreneurs, with different hats, in different industries.
I think the biggest theme from the day I walked away with is, there has never been a more inspiring time to be a female entrepreneur involved in social media.  Zac Posen stated that as bloggers, we have a true, free voice to create our own identities.  We can go in any direction and be anyone we want.  How we harness that  identity through social media, can dictate our success.
I almost passed this event up, but I'm so glad I didn't.  I think it's important to immerse yourself in your passions, to make connections, and to learn as much as you possibly can, in order to grow.  Surrounding yourself with people who once had a beginning and are now thriving, is empowering.  It's empowering to know that dreams can be achieved through hard work.  That you can be successful in a career that is fulfilling.  And the only thing that is stopping you from getting there, is you.

Your post has such a great message. From all the other conference posts I have read this week, your's (by far) is my favorite. Thank you for including all that Zac Posen had to share with you all, and some great pictures of the other speakers (I didn't even know that Randi Zuckerberg was there). I really wish I would have been able to watch the live feed.

Enjoy your weekend : )

I agree with Lauren above. Your post has much more meaning behind it. I'm in sales and when we do any type of event where I get to listen to successful people who are passionate about what they do and are willing to share their story (more importantly), I am so inspired. Sometimes you need something to kick you in the butt and keep you moving. You have a truly amazing blog with a great message and attitude.
