Happy Thursday! Today I'm wearing easy, breezy shorts and stripes. Oh, and my fake glasses. I've always secretly wanted to wear glasses. Growing up when we would do the vision tests in school, I was always so bummed put when I was told I had 20/20 vision. "Are you sure about that?? Maybe we should try again..." I would ask. Now that I'm older (and umm, dare say, wiser) I'm thankful for the fact that I don't actually need to wear glasses. I probably will one day. But in the meantime, I'll rock the fake ones for. Because there really is something about glasses.
Sans glasses, tonight - I will be hosting a style session at Ann Taylor Loft in Scottsdale, at the Kierland Commons. The event starts at 7 PM and there will be cupcakes, some gift bags from Lush, and ummm...me. I know I'm not that cool, but I would love nothing more for you to come out, say hi, do a little shopping with me! Especially if you have a fun event coming up, I'd love to help you put something together! Hope to see you there!

Ha ha, I use to do the same thing. Everyone in my family had glasses. I always thought people with glasses looked more chic. Your glasses look so cute on you! Love the stripes and pink shorts.

oh my gosh, i was just like you growing up- i always wanted glasses (and braces for some reason, why? do not ask)but then when I started working full time I actually needed glasses because I'm staring at a computer all day. Not as fun as I once thought!

I am obsessed with this look. I'd wear something extremely similar! Shorts are my go-to piece for summer. Their so comfortable and I love how easy and relaxed your look is + it's classy and put together at the same time.

I actually lied on my vision test one time so I could get glasses... crazy things kids do. Lol I think this just inspired me to write a blog post about it!
It's so funny those without glasses want them and those who wear glasses hate them! I've worn glasses since I was five and whenever I wear them I get compliments but I'm SO self-conscious...brings me back to my nerdy elementary school days! Great look, though- maybe I'll bring the glasses out for a post soon :)

So funny that you talk about loving glasses. I remember when I found out that I needed glasses when I took driver's ed. Since my vision was only slightly weak in one eye, I decided to ride the perfection of my other eye and forgo glasses. Fast forward to adulthood, and now I am obsessed with glasses! I love the ease, convenience, and high fashion of them. I even prefer guys who wear glasses! It's something about the gesture of a man pushing glasses up over the bridge of their nose that is so erotic to me. *winks*

Funny! Glasses are my favorite accessories. Since I need to wear them I thought : why not make the best of it! I have three pairs that I mix and match depending on my outfit! Thanks to my wonderful optometrist mother! :)
