Dress Code: The Fourth of July

Another Dress Code series coming your way with Lynzy, Kim, Kate and I!  This month we're dressing up for a fourth of July BBQ.  Kim and Kate opted for breezy summer dresses, while Lynzy looks effortlessly cool in colored denim shorts, one of my favorite summer trends.  For myself, I really like to get patriotic and wear my red, white and blue. Since mixing patterns is so in right now, why not mix it up this year, and pair navy blue and red stripes together, like I've done with my Saludos for JCrew shoes and C&C California top. You could even mix stars and stripes for a fun option as well.  Now, the ultimate accessory for a 4th of July barbeque, other than an American flag bathingsuit, is an American flag scarf!  To neutralize the patterns, throw on your favorite pair of denim boyfriend shorts, or white cropped skinnies to keep it classic.  Wearing your hair up in a top knot, pony or fish tail braid will keep you cool in that summer heat.  And don't forget your aviators and gold accessories!  Happy Fourth!

Jeans: Paige Denim (Old & Tailored to fit crop); Top: C & C California (Old); Scarf: c/o Windsor Store; Bracelet: c/o Taylor Morgan Designs; Sunglasses: Anthropologie; Shoes: Saludos for JCrew

The scarf is adorable and I'm loving the thick navy panels on the side of that top. Great pieces in this outfit.

She pulled thew outfit off, she really knows how to mix and match her clothes and clearly, this looks like fourth of the July because of the scarf. Also, I think I would consider buying or selling some gold chain-inspired accessories. I think they are hot right now.
