Paris in Pictures - The Gardens of Versailles

One of my favorite moments from our entire trip was walking through the grounds of Versailles.  After being surrounded by pushy and "the world revolves around me" tourists in a fancy palace, walking out onto the grounds was so refreshing.  It's so green.  And there was silence!  I think I loved that most.  We walked underneath a canopy of tall shade trees, and heard nothing but the soft laughter of the leaves in the wind.  Oh, I couldn't tell you a time more peaceful.  After our secluded stroll, we found a snack bar, and refreshed ourselves on delicious chocolate cake.  We then, rented a couple of bikes, and rode to Marie Antoinette's home, and to Hameau de la Reine, or The Queen's Hamlet.  I could have stayed at The Queen's Hamlet for days.  It is so picturesque with it's farm houses, vineyards, animals, and lakes.  Really, I couldn't dream of anything more perfect.  I kept thinking, if I could have a dream wedding anywhere in the world, it would be here.
It's actually quite difficult for me to go through these pictures, as I am back to the normalcy of life.  I think the worst part about Paris is - once you've been there, you will dream about it the rest of your life.  And your heart will seriously yearn for it.  "Take me back..." it says.  Take me back.
